We have 29 members in this year's Owens Junior Beta Club Chapter. In order to be qualified for Beta Club, these students have to maintain an overall 90 average in the 2nd semester of their 4th grade year and the 1st semester of their 5th grade year.

We sponsor many activities throughout the year. So far this year, we have held a "Schools Supplies" drive to help out the schools in Alabama that suffered from Hurricane Katrina and had a clothing drive for a family from New Orleans who moved here due to the loss of their home. We will also sponsor the Math-A-Thon each year. The money from this goes directly to St. Jude's Hospital. We will also sponsor the food drive around the holidays for the Salvation Army. We will be holding a talent show to raise money for our club to help out anyone in our community who has suffered a tragedy in their lives (i.e. house fire, tornados...). This is just a few of projects we sponsor. Should different needs arise, we work hard to raise money or help out any way we can. Our motto is to always help others and we strive all year to do just that.
